Ukrainian soldiers are preparing to move in on the rebel stronghold of Donetsk.<br /><br />Kyiv has been squeezing positions in the east of the country, as clashes continue between its forces and separatist rebels. <br /><br />In the Kalininsky district of Donetsk, people have been assessing the aftermath of a night of what are claimed to have been Ukrainian air strikes. <br /><br />“There were two strikes by aeroplanes. This is the first strike, the second one is on the other side. Completely bombed,” said Sergei Ryaboshenko, a security guard.<br /><br />But Kyiv is denying any involvement in the attacks, saying none of its planes are bombing cities. <br /><br />Meanwhile, Western leaders are accusing Russia of building up forces along the border – in what some fear could mean a possible intervention.<br /><br />Russia has repeatedly denied that it has such intentions.
