More death and devastation in Afghanistan but this time a rare attack in the heavily fortified capital.<br/> <br />Debris and rubble are scattered across this busy Kabul road and here a damaged NATO armoured vehicle.<br/> <br />A suicide car bomber targeted a convoy of foreign forces in the western part of the city along Darul Aman Road.<br/> <br />Several Afghanis were killed including children and dozens wounded.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Dari) SHEREN AGHA HAMDARD, EYEWITNESS, SAYING:<br/> <br />"There was a dangerous powerful explosion here. Five to six people were laid on the ground. Three of them were already dead when I saw them. Another one died on the way to the hospital. All those casualties were poor civilians and more than 20 were wounded."<br/> <br />Police have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.<br/> <br />The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
