Misery and despair for the Yazidi people on Sinjar Mountain in Iraq.<br/> <br />Atop the desert mountain, they lack food and water in the sweltering heat.<br/> <br />They've received some aid from the U.S. but still need refuge from the Islamic State.<br/> <br />The militants are threatening to wipe them out completely.<br/> <br />At least 500 of the ethnic Yazidi minority have been killed by the jihadist fighters.
