US actor and comedian Robin Williams has died at the age of 63. He was found dead at his home in California on Monday – police suspect suicide by asphyxiation.<br /><br />Williams was considered a comedy genius as well as a dramatic actor. He was famous for a whole range of films from Good Morning Vietnam to Dead Poets Society.<br /><br />Although a regular stand-up comedian and known for his zany roles, he won an Oscar in 1998 for best supporting actor as a therapist in Good Will Hunting.<br /><br />Hollywood has been shocked by the news of his death, however Williams had suffered from bouts of depression and had struggled with alcohol and drugs.<br />He had recently had a spell in a rehabilitation centre .<br /><br />His wife Susan Schneider said she was “utterly heartbroken”. Williams had three children from previous marriages.
