Nosing 3:45 <br />Whisky.com tastes the Benriach 1996 Pedro Ximenez Finish. This whisky was matured in a sherry puncheon. This is a bit smaller than the usual sherry butt. A smaller cask means the whisky is maturing faster than in a bigger cask. <br /> <br />The nose: <br />Pedro Ximenez sherry, rasins, dark fruits. <br />The taste: <br />Lemon zest, fruitiness with a little oakiness. Ginger with a few spices. <br />The finish: <br />Slowly fades away.
