American actor and comedian Robin Williams has been found dead at his California home in a suspected suicide. He was 63.<br /><br />Williams had suffered from bouts of depression and had struggled with drug abuse and alcoholism. <br /><br />Hollywood has been shocked at the death of who many describe as one of the most inventive comedians of his time.<br /><br />Singer Lady Gaga tweeted: “...Perhaps this tragedy will shed light on the seriousness of depression. You made us all so so happy.”<br /><br />Williams earned his sole Oscar for his portrayal of a fatherly therapist in the 1997 drama “Good Will Hunting.” <br /><br />He earned four Academy Award nominations, the first for his portrayal of US Army radio host Adrian Cronauer during the Vietnam War in “Good Morning, Vietnam.”<br /><br />He received nominations for coming-of-age drama “Dead Poets Society” and “The Fisher King.”<br /><br />Williams will appear in the upcoming film “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” playing the statue of American politician Teddy Roosevelt who comes alive at night, and Christmas comedy “Merry Friggin’ Christmas.”
