A new five-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas looks set to come into force.<br /><br /> Hamas delegates, in Cairo for indirect peace talks, say a fresh deal has been struck.<br /><br /> The Egyptian delegation brokering the negotiations confirmed an agreement between Israel and Hamas had been reached.<br /><br /> It comes as Israel claimed a rocket was fired from Gaza into the south of the country on Wednesday (August 13) evening.<br /><br /> Hamas was quick to deny any such attack.<br /><br /> The groups spokesperson, Sami Abu Zuhri, posted on social media “Hamas denies firing any rockets towards Israel this evening.”<br /><br /> Israel said the attack came two hours before the previous thee-day ceasefire was due to expire.
