Missouri protests calmer as state police takes over

A welcome change in Ferguson, Missouri.<br/> <br />Protests were boisterous but peaceful as demonstrators took to the streets for a fifth night over the killing of Michael Brown, an unarmed black teen shot by police.<br/> <br />A big change after nights of unrest filled with violence and tear gas.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: CAPTAIN RON JOHNSON, MISSOURI HIGHWAY PATROL, SAYING:<br/> <br />"Say what you gotta say, just do it in peace."<br/> <br />The change came as Captain Ron Johnson of the Missouri Highway Patrol took over security after the governor stripped local police of their duty.<br/> <br />Instead of police in riot gear, Johnson and several other officers without body armor joined protesters in a peaceful march.<br/> <br />Nats: "l love y'all....we love you...I love you..."<br/> <br />This as demonstrators from across the country showed their support by holding vigils and marches of their own.<br/> <br />More than 90 peaceful protests were held from New York's Times Square to San Francisco.
