Ireland is to review the decision taken by a panel which refused a young woman an abortion despite her claiming to be suicidal following an alleged rape.<br /><br />Under new legislation the woman could have had a termination but three medical experts ruled against it.<br /><br />The woman went on to have her baby delivered prematurely by caesarian section.<br /><br />Ireland’s Minster for Education Jan O’Sullivan said there was concern about the issue particularly when a mother has to carry a foetus that is not going to survive outside the womb.
