Thousands of anti-government demonstrators remain steadfast on the streets of Islamabad demanding Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif step down.<br/> <br />For the past 11 days, protesters have been camped out in front of parliament night and day.<br/> <br />The opposition movement, led by a former cricketer Imran Khan and populist cleric Tahir ul-Qadri, is getting support from wealthy Pakistanis who provide food and water to people on the streets.<br/> <br />Talks between the government and the opposition have remained deadlocked with neither side willing to back down.<br/> <br />The opposition accuse Sharif of election rigging after his landslide win last year.<br/> <br />The protests have raised concern about Pakistan's stability at a time when the government is battling a Taliban insurgency and NATO troops are withdrawing from neighbouring Afghanistan.
