Rock legend Chuck Berry has been snubbed by two Swedish royals over his historic conviction for human trafficking.<br /><br />In 1961, the star received a three-year prison sentence after transporting a 14-year-old girl he was in a relationship with, across several US states.<br /><br />Queen Silvia and Princess Magdalenda refused to join other royal family members, including King Carl Gustaf, at the 2014 Polar Music Prize ceremony.<br /><br />The prize is an annual award given for achievement in the world of music. <br /><br />Both a pop or rock performer – this year Berry – and a classical musician are recognised.<br /><br />The queen is the founder of a children’s charity and said it was a “family decision” for her not to go.<br /><br />Berry was unable to attend the ceremony for health reasons.<br /><br />The 87-year-old’s most famous hits include “Roll Over Beethoven” and “Johnny B. Goode”.
