He has already changed his government this week. <br /><br />Now French President Francois Hollande is calling for a eurozone summit as soon as possible to coordinate a push for growth and define a new rhythm for deficit reduction.<br /><br />“Europe must change,” he told a meeting of top French diplomats in Paris.<br /><br />“It must reconsider a number of policies, clarify its organisation, recapture public support and more than anything win the battle for growth and employment.”<br /><br />Hollande spoke as his new 36-year-old Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron ran into trouble with trade unions for suggesting exemptions to France’s 35-hour working week.<br /><br />The comments were made before his appointment in a reshuffle and the government has insisted that no changes are planned.<br /><br />Its economy struggling, France’s jobless number reached yet another record in July.<br /><br />Among the latest unemployed is France’s former economy minister Arnaud Montebourg whose dissent over the government’s austerity drive saw him pushed out.
