Pilots at Lufthansa’s budget carrier, Germanwings, are set to go on strike on Friday if an agreement regarding an early retirement scheme is not reached.<br /><br />Negotiations between the airline and union representatives are set to continue on Thursday.<br /><br />If talks fail the pilots plan to down tools for six hours. Around 700 of the 9,000 pilots employed by Lufthansa work for Germanwings.
