ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />A young leopard was rescued from an open farm well adjoining Mansinghdeo Wildlife Sanctuary near Khapa city in India's western province of Maharashtra on Friday (August 29).<br/> <br />The leopard is suspected to have fallen into the well while chasing its prey, and was found struggling to stay afloat in the water.<br/> <br />Around 50 people helped haul the animal out, including police officers and wildlife officials, by using a cot and rope.<br/> <br />Once the leopard reached the surface, it darted into the jungle, raising fears among the villagers that it could pose a threat to adults and children in the fields.
