Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that political parties winning public mandate cannot be made hostages by few thousand protestors. <br />The Prime Minister gave these remarks during a visit to senior journalist Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami’s house to condole his sister’s death. <br />Talking exclusively to Dunya News, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the government will not tolerate any undemocratic step. <br />He said that lawful demands of the protesting parties have already been accepted. <br />“Demand regarding electoral reforms was already accepted and we also offered formation of a judicial commission to probe (electoral rigging),” he said. <br />He said ongoing protests have caused massive damage to the country’s economy. These sit-ins have badly affected the development projects, he added. <br />The Prime Minister said that country is going through a tumultuous situation which will end soon. <br />He asserted that doors to dialogue will always remain open.
