NO REPORTER NARRATION<br/> <br />Eleven coal miners who had been taking shelter in a mineshaft near their dormitory are missing following a landslide in south-western China.<br/> <br />They're among dozens of people missing after torrential rain caused widespread flooding and triggered numerous landslides across Chongqing municipality.<br/> <br />State media says at least eight people have been killed.<br/> <br />The official Xinhua news agency says more than 500 rescue workers have evacuated more than 7,000 residents to safe locations.<br/> <br />The agency also reported that the rain, which started on Sunday, has caused more than 68 million yuan ($11 million U.S.) in economic damage.<br/> <br />More rain was expected to hit the north-eastern parts of Chongqing on Tuesday, CCTV said, citing meteorological authorities.
