Abdulmalik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen's Shia Houthi community, has accused the government and international community of bias against his people, warning of civil disobedience.<br /><br />Authorities have deployed security forces to prevent any violence between Houthis and their opponents, with some accusing the rebels of using the protests as a pretext to stage a coup against the government.<br /><br />In 2011, the pro-democracy movement galvanised the whole nation to rise against the-then government, culminating in the formation of a new government.<br /><br />But the minority Houthis say that the revolution has been hijacked by the old guard and that they will fight for their rights.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Hashem Ahelbarra reports from Sanaa.
