As thousands of children return to school we ask ourselves, is it really worth it?

While a formal education is currently the norm, is there perhaps a better route?

More and more school leavers are opting out of sixth form and university in favour of practical apprenticeships and applicable skills, so I see no reason why that trend won’t gain traction for even younger students.

Maybe if more British youths packed it in during primary school they’d have a chance to learn a useful trade on the streets – like dicing a pineapple in under 60 seconds.

Unfortunately, I doubt this early academic exodus will ever happen, so for now we’ll just have to gawp at the day to day lives of foreign people.

For instance, this guy in the Philippines really knows his way around the aforementioned fruit.

What’s normal to him, amazes us!
