French president Francois Hollande’s popularity has plummeted to an all time low.<br /><br />In a further setback his junior minister for trade Thomas Thevenoud has quit over his own personal tax affairs, just nine days after getting the job in a government reshuffle.<br /><br />It is perhaps the last thing he needs, as a bombshell book by his discarded first lady Valerie Trierweiler paints a very unflattering picture of the president.<br /><br />Valerie Trierweiler’s book “Thank You For This Moment“portrays Hollande as cold, callous and someone who pokes fun at the poor. <br /><br />Many have dismissed her work as the revenge of a woman scorned. <br /><br />But with the French economy in a rut, near record unemployment and <br />his approval rating at just 13 percent, Hollande is still the most unpopular French president since World War II
