EDITORS PLEASE NOTE: THIS EDIT CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES<br/> <br />A shallow grave in a town north of Baghdad.<br/> <br />At least 15 bodies have been discovered here in Sulaiman Bek.<br/> <br />This mass burial site was found by Iraqi Kurdish forces and Shi'ite militiamen after retaking the town from the Islamic State.<br/> <br />These bodies are believed to be Shi'ite truck drivers, kidnapped three months ago by the IS.<br/> <br />Each of the men had been shot in the head.<br/> <br />Volunteers working with the victims' families and local police are excavating the remains.<br/> <br />IS fighters launched a major offensive in June, overrunning swathes of Iraq and Syria and leaving a path of bloodshed in its wake.
