She is a mother's daughter and she is rising to the occasion."<br/> <br />A private funeral will be held for Rivers at Temple Emanu-El, a landmark synagogue on New York's Fifth Avenue where the 81-year-old was a member.<br/> <br />A memorial outside her home keeps growing as fans leave flowers and cards in an outpouring of support.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: JOSEPH LUCAS, FAN, SAYING:<br/> <br />"We have to cry a little now but later on we'll laugh"<br/> <br />Rivers died on Thursday, a week after she went into cardiac arrest during an outpatient procedure at this clinic.<br/> <br />The New York City Medical Examiner is investigating her death.
