Hit by 'high-energy objects': Dutch report into MH17 crash in Ukraine

Dutch aviation experts say Malaysia Airlines flight M17 probably crashed in eastern Ukraine after being hit by a large number of “high-energy objects”.<br /><br />The preliminary findings of the Dutch Safety Board say the plane broke up in the air on the journey from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.<br /><br />The report adds there are no indications the crash was caused by technical problems or the crew’s actions.<br /><br />It has been published on the day that the remains of two more Malaysian victims of the disaster were brought back to Kuala Lumpur. Forty-three Malaysians were on board the plane.<br /><br />The Dutch are leading an international investigation to try to piece together evidence into the crash. These are their initial findings; the investigation is ongoing.<br /><br />The report is based on technical evidence; investigators, who have not visited the crash site for safety reasons, say they are looking into the causes of the crash not who was responsible.
