Six more people have been detained in Turkey after ten workers were killed when an elevator plunged 32 floors at a construction site in Istanbul.<br /><br />Five people were taken into custody on Tuesday, including one of the partners of the company which manufactured the lift.<br /><br />Saturday’s accident prompted protests in Istanbul on Sunday and a government promise to review safety standards at work.<br /><br />Turkey had the third worst rate of deadly workplace accidents in the world in 2012, according to the International Labour Organisation.
