South African Athlete Oscar Pistorius has been found guilty of culpable homicide for the killing of model Reeva Steenkamp.<br /><br />The verdict carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.<br /><br />The judge presiding over the trial had previously cleared him of murder on the grounds that an intent to kill had not been proven by the prosecution.<br /><br />Pistorius was also found guilty on one charge of discharging a firearm in public, though ruled not guilty on another similar account. He was also cleared of illegally possesing ammunition.<br /><br />Sentencing is expected to take place in a matter of weeks. Reeva Steenkamp was shot an killed on Valentines day 2013.
