A rare double bout of strong solar storms are set to hit Earth on Friday evening.<br /><br />The highly charged emissions from the sun may prove a spectacle to behold for star gazers, with solar flares providing a glimpse into their power and reach. But they’re also forecast to interfere with radio communications and GPS signals.<br /><br />Storms of a similar magnitude regularly reach Earth, but rarely in such quick succession.<br /><br />Some of the best views will likely be had near the North and South poles, with the event set to produce memorable Aurora displays.
