those who make commentaries on what 'black people' can do still hold the perspective of upholding the capitalist, individualist system- THIS is the reason there's that good 'ol adage, 'black people can't ever get together.' anyone who complains about what black people AREN'T doing, the first thing they should be asked is: ARE YOU IN AN ORGANIZATION? <br /> <br />changing your name to something which is more 'acceptable' to european society (which IS what people are ultimately suggesting) does not stop institutional racism. it does not cease colonialism and imperialism. neither does 'pulling your pants up'. while i personally don't find wearing your pants off your butt sensible (or attractive), to state that pulling them up is a simple solution to fighting injustice to black people is ignorant, as it willingly ignores larger issues affecting poor people, and people of african descent. <br /> <br />and lumbia had a couple of words to say in the video as well- i love when she chimes in!
