What is a Super Moon? It is also known as a large loom moon. In 2014 there will be three. July 12, August 10 and September 9. These are full moon dates and happens to be when our satellite is closest to the Earth. The moon is in an elliptical orbit around Earth and when it is closest, we see a full moon.
