Meet George, a beloved pet goldfish in Australia, when the chips are down.<br/> <br />Here he can be seen in a bucket with a life threatening tumor on its head.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) LORT SMITH ANIMAL HOSPITAL VETERINARIAN, TRISTAN RICH, SAYING:<br/> <br />"The fish was having trouble eating, getting around, getting bullied by the other fish."<br/> <br />George's owner was given the choice between an operation or having him sleep with the fishes.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE)(English) OWNER OF GEORGE THE GOLDFISH, PIP JOYCE, SAYING:<br/> <br />"You know, we love George, he's been great company and we've had some good laughs out of him."<br/> <br />So the gold fish went under the knife.<br/> <br />Veterinarian Tristan Rich sedated George and removed the tumor from his brain in a 45 minute procedure.
