The Israeli attack on Gaza and the massive destruction in its wake have forced hundreds of Palestinian youths to migrate in a dangerous and illegal voyage, beginning in Egypt and then via the Mediterranean Sea to Italy. As many as 500 migrants, including over 10 Gazans, are feared to have drowned after traffickers rammed and sank their boat on Monday. Meanwhile, on the ground in Gaza there is concern over the postponement of the reconstruction conference from October to November and that the scheduled negotiations between Israel and Palestine in Cairo have not yet resumed.
