ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />U.S. Navy planes carried out another round of missions in Iraq on Friday (September 19), as part of an international offensive against Islamic militants.<br/> <br />President Barack Obama first ordered air strikes last summer to aid refugees surrounded by Islamic fighters on a mountain near Irbil in northern Iraq. After the refugees were able to escape, he ordered the U.S. military to continue missions to aid Iraqi and Kurdish forces battling Islamic State.<br/> <br />During the latest mission, F-18 Hornets and EA-6B Prowlers conducted air strikes as well as surveillance and reconnaissance missions in Iraq.
