ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Japanese fashion brand Issey Miyake showed a wind-inspired ready-to-wear spring/summer 2015 collection at Paris Fashion Week on Friday (September 26).<br/> <br />The brand's womenswear designer, Yoshiyuki Miyame, said his new collection was based on the interaction between wind and the landscape, evoking rippling ponds, sand blown into towering dunes and clouds drifting lazily across the sky.<br/> <br />Opening the show were models wearing simple white forms, forming the blank canvas upon which colors, patterns and textures were later built up.<br/> <br />White gave way to pastel blue, pink and lilac, then bright yellow and orange before a finale of bold, multicoloured checks, mimicking the increasing intensity of the swirling wind and painting a vibrant yet harmonious picture of nature.<br/> <br />At the heart of Issey Miyake's collection was an innovative new fabric formed by a technique known as '3D Steam Stretch.'<br/> <br />This involves carefully weaving str
