Smart prepaid subscribers, including those using Talk n’ Text and Sun Cellular, can now enjoy free internet access using their mobile phones, powered by the network’s cellular services, announced Manuel “Manny” V. Pangilinan (MVP) during the launching event at the Makati Shangri La Hotel on Friday, September 26. To avail of the free internet access, users must subscribe to a load bucket or promo or have airtime balance of at least P1, reports The Summit Express. Registration is free. Subscribers need to send “FREE” to 9999 daily to register for the promo. The communications company offers a data cap of 30MB for free. If you go beyond 30MB, then the usage will be deducted from your prepaid balance. Messaging apps such as Whatsapp, Viber, and Skype as well as peer-to-peer file sharing and VOIP are not included in this promo, says Rappler.
