Hong Kong police on Saturday (September 27) removed about 50 protesters who had forced their way into government headquarters.<br/> <br />The demonstrators were removed one by one, some were carried out.<br/> <br />The entire process was conducted peacefully. Meanwhile, hundreds of supporters outside the building's compound chanted slogans to support the mostly student filled demonstration and to condemn the police.<br/> <br />The protests had turned violent on Friday night when hundreds of students and demonstrators forced their way past a police cordon and scaled the fences of the building's compound.<br/> <br />Protesters are opposing a decision by Beijing to reject free and open elections to chose the city's next leader in 2017.
