The death toll from Japan’s worst volcaniceruption in decades is likely to rise to more than 45.<br /><br />Military searchers brought down more bodies on Wednesday from Mount Ontake after restarting the recovery operation.<br /><br />It had been suspended the previous day after fears of further eruptions and poisonous gases being emitted.<br /><br />The eruption on Saturday covered Mount Ontake in thick ash and volcanic rock – suddenly and without warning.
