A firefight in the Syrian town of Kobani -- the latest skirmishes between Islamic State militants and Kurdish fighters.<br/> <br />On the outskirts of the town, amateur video shows men said to be Islamic State fighters firing on Kurdish forces from the backs of pickup trucks.<br/> <br />This northern town near the Syrian-Turkish border has become the site of intensified violence that has forced local populations out.<br/> <br />Many are joining the already more than 150,000 in Turkey for refuge.<br/> <br />Mustafa Ali is a Syrian Kurd who says there was no choice but to run in the face of death.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Kurdish) SYRIAN KURD, MUSTAFA ALI, SAYING:<br/> <br />"We came here because we were afraid of getting killed.
