The far-right British National Party has expelled former chairman Nick Griffin amid accusations that he has been trying to cause disunity in an attempt to destabilise the organisation.<br /><br />Griffin chaired the BNP for 15 years before leaving his position in July.<br /><br />He was declared bankrupt in January and lost his seat as an MEP in May’s European elections.
