I took a brand new Nikon lens on location in France and went to use it to find I had a little friend trapped inside. Its creepy mutant nature was dead freaky. Unfortunately it sadly died the next day leaving behind some gunk inside the front element, boo, luckily Mr Nikon did replace it when I returned home. The lens, not the spider!
