Turkey's military keeps watch on the Syrian border town of Kobani, where Islamic State insurgents are bombarding the town's outskirts with artillery fire.<br/> <br />Kurdish fighters trying to drive them back, are warning of a massacre in the making, and Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu says Turkey's forces are on standby.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Turkish) TURKISH PRIME MINISTER, AHMET DAVUTOGLU, SAYING:<br/> <br />"We wouldn't want Kobani to fall. We welcomed our brothers who came from Kobani. We'll do whatever we can to prevent this from happening."<br/> <br />..and all the while, refugees fleeing Islamic State continue to stream across the border, while the militants encircle Kobani with tanks.<br/> <br />For Turkey, the stakes are getting higher, and Ankara is being forced to reevaluate its role... as Islamic State tightens its grip just across the border.
