The World Teacher’s Day will be observed across the globe including Pakistan on Sunday with its theme “Invest in the Future, Invest Teachers”. <br /> <br />This year, teachers’ day aims to mobilise support for teachers and ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers. <br /> <br />Different seminars, conferences and talk show will be held countrywide to highlight the importance of teachers. <br /> <br />World Teachers’ Day was inaugurated on October 5, 1994 by the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to commemorate the 1966 joint signing of the UNESCO/International Labour Organisation (ILO) recommendation concerning the status of teachers.
