Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Hoops for the Nintendo Entertainment System developed by Aicom and published by Jaleco. <br /> <br />Hoops is one of the most popular basketball games on the NES. The game takes a “street” approach to the game, offering one-on-one or two-on-two play on a half court. Players can also choose to play winner’s or loser’s outs, which is a pretty cool touch for 1989. The game has eight playable characters—Mr. Doc, Jammer, Bomber, Zap, Legs, Wiz, Pretty Face and Barbie—and represents the style and tone that made basketball such a cool sport in the late eighties and early nineties. Just shake the rim!
