ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />Israeli security forces on Monday (October 13) violently dispersed a crowd of Palestinians trying to enter the al-Aqsa compound in Jerusalem's Old City, witnesses said.<br/> <br />Israeli police said they were limiting access to the compound based on security assessments after clashing with stone-hurling Palestinian youths who stayed inside the holy compound overnight.<br/> <br />A Reuters video showed a group of Muslim women and men chanting slogans at Israeli soldiers who prevented their entrance to the site. They were later dispersed with stun grenades.<br/> <br />The area, known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as Haram al-Sharif, is home to al-Aqsa mosque and the Dome of the Rock.<br/> <br />Religious Jews revere the compound as the location of their ancient biblical temples.<br/> <br />For Muslims, it is the place where Prophet Mohammed is believed to have ascended into heaven - the third holiest site in Islam.<br/> <br />Israel captured the site, along with t
