In-depth reports and analysis from our extensive network of correspondents throughout the region on the most important developments in Latin America. In today's program: Venezuela's Tower of David - Part II, a report by Rachael Boothroyd. Seven years after the Tower of David skyscraper, which looms over the Caracas skyline, was taken over by homeless families, 50% of its inhabitants have been relocated into new housing projects and a vigorous debate is now underway on what to do with the building. Proposals raised, in the context of Venezuela's ongoing revolution and attempts to promote grass-roots participation, include converting it into a university campus or cultural center. The relocated families, meanwhile, are continuing their tradition of self-organization in their new community through the country's new form of communal government. teleSUR
