Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law barring foreign investors from holding more than a 20 percent stake in the country’s media. <br /><br />It also limits non-nationals from co-founding media outlets.<br /><br />The new rules, which come into effect January 2016, could force some of the world’s largest media companies to sell off or shut down their operations in Russia.
