The embattled governor of the Mexican state of Guerrero Angel Aguierre Rivero has submitted a motion to the State Congress calling for a referendum on his remaining in office. Aguierre is under mounting criticism locally, nationally and internationally for his handling of the police attack on teachers' college students that left 6 dead and 43 kidnapped and still missing on September 26 in the city of Iguala.
