Two suspected Ebola patients have tested negative in Spain in a first round of tests.<br /><br />One had arrived on a flight from Nigeria and the other travelled in the same ambulance as an infected Spanish nurse. Both had developed fevers and will be tested again in three days.<br /><br />Authorities have confirmed that 18 people have been quarantined, in Madrid and the Canary Islands.<br /><br />The Spanish nurse who contracted Ebola, Teresa Romero, is recovering and her infection described as “almost under control.”<br /><br />Meanwhile, a British Royal Navy ship, with a fully equipped hospital is heading to Sierra Leone.<br /><br />UK Royal Marines will travel on board, apparently to protect the ship.<br /><br />The ship has isolation facilities on board and will take three helicopters, aircrew, engineers and medical staff to help with the fight against Ebola.<br /><br />The outbreak has so far killed 4,500 people, mostly in Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.
