Kinda like Mario Bros. with a sword. Difference is, when Mario defeats an enemy, it doesn't explode into a massive supernova of Japanese ephemera, like anime-style legs and random outbursts of manga-style onomatopoeia and bouncing coinage that can decimate enemies in its way.
