The Nokia name is to disappear from the Lumia range of phones which will be rebranded as Microsoft Lumia.<br /><br />This comes after the software giant bought the phone part of the Finnish firm in April.<br /><br />The announcement was made first on the Nokia France Facebook page, and reportedly other countries will follow in phasing out the brand.<br /><br />This will not affect the rump of Nokia which was not bought by Microsoft, that is its networking, mapping and licensing businesses <br /><br />Former Microsoft boss Steve Ballmer speaking on CBS TV this week said buying Nokia was a “tough” and “big decision” and he also admitted the company is not exactly “winning” when it comes to mobile.
