Officials hope to quell public fear over the news of a doctor who's tested positive for Ebola in New York city.<br/> <br />Mayor Bill de Blasio said New Yorkers are safe from Ebola, even though the patient had travelled around the city on subways, taken a taxi and visited a bowling alley before reporting his symptoms.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) NEW YORK CITY MAYOR BILL DE BLASIO SAYING:<br/> <br />"We want to state at the outset that there is no reason for New Yorkers to be alarmed."<br/> <br />The patient, 33 year old Craig Spencer, is in an insolation at Bellevue Hospital.<br/> <br />Spencer is a physician working for Doctors Without Borders and recently returned to New York after treating Ebola victims in West Africa.<br/> <br />Information is being given out to people near Spencer's apartment.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) UNIDENTIFIED MAN SAYING:<br/> <br />"Giving out information locally.
