One hundred poems <br />of love, life, and death <br />a life so depressing <br />as these things I know best <br /> <br />the last four years <br />have given me something to write <br />though the things in my poems <br />keep me up at night <br /> <br />I've lost my father <br />some friends too <br />and the one person I loved most <br />my nightmares came true <br /> <br />I gave my mom a stroke <br />several times tried to take my life <br />the only way I didn't try <br />was stabbing myself with a knife <br /> <br />in and out of the hospital <br />I didn't really care <br />I'd lost so much already <br />couldn't bare another year <br /> <br />I can beg forgiveness <br />I can cry until my eyes bleed <br />the plant of life is wilting <br />I'm nothing but a weed <br /> <br />a deep blue funk I'm stuck in <br />I can't seem to get away <br />it makes me ask myself at night <br />will I live to see another day<br /><br />Dakota Ellerton<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/100-times-the-same/
