Consensus is a modern trick, <br />the word can so deceive, <br />it gives all logic the big flick <br />and causes sense to leave. <br /> <br />When interests have an axe to grind <br />they claim that all is done, <br />that all the work is now behind <br />and no one sees the pun. <br /> <br />A refuge for the scoundrels is <br />the place they call consensus <br />let's go, they say, get on with biz <br />and polish not your lenses. <br /> <br />The word itself precludes debate <br />all settled seems the matter <br />the smokescreen is a steady state <br />a flux succeeds the latter. <br /> <br />So if they say consensus was <br />just reached you must beware, <br />watch sticky fingers and their paws <br />so you may keep your share. <br /> <br />Koch's Postulates have always been <br />the pillars for true science <br />you reproduce results and win <br />and stand in sheer defiance. <br /> <br />Consensus is not science and <br />it causes no confusion, <br />no native folks of any land <br />should fall for this delusion. <br /> <br />Consensus is for politics, <br />for airheads without morals, <br />so be alert for all their tricks <br />their briberies and florals. <br /> <br />Man's view and attitude to man <br />have suffered in our battle, <br />it's take from others what you can, <br />cow pies are made by cattle.<br /><br />Herbert Nehrlich 2<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/consensus-2/
